The 6th generation joins Garsou-Angenot : the future is written as a family story

Régis Capelle joins Garsou-Angenot as the representative of the family’s 6th generation. Combining heritage, hands-on experience and a forward-looking vision, his arrival embodies the continuity of a Belgian logistics company built on agility, expertise and cooperation.

There are moments that mark the history of a company far beyond a simple change in the organization chart. The arrival of Régis Capelle at Garsou-Angenot is one of them. By joining the family-owned company as a logistics employee, Régis becomes the sixth generation of the family to carry on a century-old journey that began in Verviers in 1874. This milestone illustrates, better than any speech, the strength of an entrepreneurial model built on longevity, trust and transmission.

In brief

  • Garsou-Angenot is a Belgian family-owned company founded in Verviers in 1874.
  • Régis Capelle joins the company as the representative of the family’s 6th generation.
  • The company is active in road transport, air freight, sea freight, warehousing and customs agency services.
  • It relies on 25,000 m² of warehouse space, nearly 80 employees and more than 5,000 shipments per month.
  • Its development is based on three values : agility, expertise and cooperation.

Six generations, one common thread

Founded by Joseph Garsou and Anne-Catherine Angenot, the company that bears their names has crossed 150 years of Belgian economic history without ever betraying its identity. From wool transport during the prosperous era of Verviers to today’s multimodal solutions, road transport, air freight, sea freight, warehousing and customs agency services, Garsou-Angenot has continuously reinvented itself while remaining true to a set of values passed down through generations.

“ To me, Garsou-Angenot represents much more than a company : it is a story that has been passed down for five generations, and I am proud to join this journey as the sixth. ”

— Régis Capelle, Logistics Employee at Garsou-Angenot

With this legacy in mind, Cédric Capelle, owner and general manager of Garsou-Angenot, welcomed the arrival of his son with undisguised pride. “After more than 150 years of existence, the 6th generation of the family is joining Garsou-Angenot!” he shared, highlighting this moment as living proof of the company’s longevity.

A return to the roots, driven by hands-on experience

Régis Capelle is not entering unfamiliar territory: before joining Garsou-Angenot, he gained experience at Bonache as a supply chain management consultant. This practical background at the heart of the logistics chain enriches his perspective and allows him to approach his role with both the humility of a learner and the discipline of an expert.

It is precisely this operational profile, sensitive to performance challenges and customer satisfaction, that Garsou-Angenot is now welcoming into its team. A valuable asset for a company that manages more than 5,000 shipments per month, relies on 25,000 m² of warehouse space and serves nearly 1,150 customers per year, from SMEs to multinationals.

The three pillars of an outstanding company culture

What sets Garsou-Angenot apart in a highly competitive market is, above all, the quality of its people. The company builds its identity around three core values :

  • Agility : the ability to respond quickly and effectively to the changing needs of B2B customers, whether for an urgent shipment or a tailor-made logistics solution.
  • Expertise : nearly 150 years of accumulated know-how, ISO 9001 certified since 1995 and FSSC 22000 certified, ensuring high quality standards in food transport and beyond.
  • Cooperation : a rare spirit in which employees and management work in direct contact. The management committee is highly valued for its accessibility and day-to-day involvement. Here, everyone remains close to the company’s strategy.

“ It is with great enthusiasm and humility that I begin this new chapter, with the desire to learn, contribute to the company’s development and be part of the continuity of what has been built over the generations. ”

— Régis Capelle

Family continuity : a strong signal for customers and employees

In a sector where trust is built over the long term, the arrival of the sixth generation sends a strong message. For Garsou-Angenot’s customers, it stands for stability and continuity : the company they work with today will still be there tomorrow, driven by the same family, the same values and the same commitment.

For employees, who value direct contact with involved and people-oriented management, this signal is just as reassuring. Garsou-Angenot is growing, with nearly 80 employees, around 40 vehicles and constantly evolving infrastructure, but remains true to what makes it strong : a family spirit that cannot be decreed, only passed on.

Garsou-Angenot, much more than a carrier

Located in the heart of the Euregio, in Thimister-Clermont, and present at Brussels Airport for its air freight activities, Garsou-Angenot is today a certified multimodal logistics player and a member of the Astre, Palet System, Air & Ocean Partners and Globalia networks.

The ESG commitment (Environment, Social & Governance) launched in March 2025 illustrates this ability to anticipate changes in the sector while remaining rooted in human and sustainable values, as demonstrated by Garsou-Angenot’s EcoVadis recognition, with a Gold Medal awarded in October 2025.
