Our history

At Garsou-Angenot, we draw our strength from almost 150 years of experience. As a fifth-generation family business, we are proud of our heritage and our ability to constantly adapt to the changing needs of our B2B customers. This wealth of experience allows us to optimise our processes, ensuring speed and accuracy in all our services.

1874 Birth of the company

Founded by Joseph Garsou and his wife Anne-Catherine Angenot, our company was set up in the heart of Verviers, initially focusing on wool transport, a booming sector at that time.

2001 Creation of the Benelux distribution department

Previously specialised in international transport, the company is taking a new step by launching its own distribution service in the Benelux countries.

2003 Creation of the Air Freight department

With a view to continually enhancing our range of services, the company has set up at Brussels Airport, offering a dedicated service for air shipments.

2013 Relocation to the Plénesses industrial estate and development of logistics activities

Having outgrown our Petit-Rechain facilities, the company is moving to Les Plénesses, with a new site offering the space needed to develop its logistics activities (3,500 m² of warehousing and office space).

2015 Joining the Astre group

Garsou-Angenot is joining the prestigious Astre group of independent carriers, in a constant quest for synergies and to expand the services we offer our customers. With 170 members across Europe and its Palet System network, this membership strengthens the company's ability to offer even more efficient and effective transport solutions.

2018 Expansion of logistics facilities

To meet growing demand and accommodate new logistics customers, a 5,500 m² warehouse extension was built, bringing the total built area to 9,000 m².

2022 Inauguration of a new site at Les Plénesses

Thanks to the acquisition of a plot of land in the Plénesses industrial estate (Rue du Bosquet), a new 8,000 m² warehouse has been opened, with a storage capacity of 11,500 pallets, enabling us to expand our logistics activities.

2023 New warehouse extension

The warehouses will be expanded again in 2023, with an 8,000 m² cell available on our Rue du Bosquet site, bringing the total warehouse area to 25,000 m², with more than 40 loading bays.

Located at Rue du Bosquet 4 - 4890 Thimister, our new warehouse at Les Plénesses is an important milestone in our continuing growth. With 8,000 m² of floor space and the capacity to store 11,500 pallets, it symbolises our determination to innovate and expand our logistics services.

But we're not stopping there! A further 8,000 m² extension is planned by the end of 2023, reflecting our unwavering commitment to evolve with our customers' needs and maintain our leading position in transport and logistics.
